Never photograph the landscape from a moving vehicle, and old photography rules says. This series of images resulted precisely from breaking that rule. I was traveling in northern Mexico during production of a documentary film and there was no time to stop, but the uniqueness of the landscape kept sending shock waves through my visual perception system. And then it hit me: that was the experience that I needed to document. I began to capture fast moving vistas through the car window, making subject and framing decisions at road speed as we moved from Nayarit to Nuevo León. This is my Road Trip.
